April 14th New Brews

Hey everybody,

This week's delivery of craft beer was full of fresh classics and some newer stuff to our dynamic collection. Some will have you waiting to bring out those lawn chairs for those hot summer days.

WHATS NEW!

Harpoon Camp Wannamango 5% abv-
-This beer is an easy and (soon-to-be) classic pale ale tied up with a good touch of tropical                    mango. It starts out with sweet aroma, slight bitter hop matched paired nicely with malty sweetness, finishing with a sweet kick of mango. I define it as the new age of "beach beer"

Ommegang Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms 6.9% abv-
      - To all those who love GOT, these beers always pair well with each new season of episodes. This seasons brew is described to be "a marriage of a traditional Belgian-Style wheat and a hop-forward American ale." Be sure to pick one up before they're gone!

Einstok Icelandic Artic Berry 5.2% abv-
     - "a summer brew that perfectly balances the bilberries for a flavorful, but not too sweet crisp and clean finish" - einstokbeer.com
ps. their original witbier is probably one of my favorites, really excited to try this out.

Come check out the rest of this weeks exciting choices at mason's cellars!

April Spring hopping IPA's

April is finally here and spring is in the air!

Earlier this week one of the highest rated IPA's arrived to Mason's Cellars. The highly anticipated Enjoy By IPA from Stone Brewing! Unfortunately there was a very limited quantity that we received and quickly sold out.

But on the brighter side we have started our waiting list for 2016 release of Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) from Founders brewing!

If you haven't had a chance to try out the Enjoy By IPA, here's a list of IPA's in store now that are nothing to fooled with!

Neshaminy Creek Brewing - County Line IPA
"our flagship IPA which comes in at 6.6% ABV and is chock full of Warrior, Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, and Centennial hops. It’s got a bready malt backbone to counter some of that hop bitterness, but not so much that this five hop combination won’t put a smile on your face."
         -  Neshaminycreekbrewing.com
         - rating of 87/100 by beeradvocate.com

Lagunitas Brewing - Maximus IPA 8.2%ABV
"Kinda like our IPA on steroids" - lagunitas.com
      - rating of 89/100 by beeradvocate.com

Oskar Blues Brewery - Gubna Imperial IPA 10% abv, 100 ibu
"The GUB sits on a base of Rye, North American Pale, and Munich malts, which offers a smooth and flavorful backbone to support the gargantuan load of hops." - oskarblues.com

If you are around town tonight, Mason's Cellar will be holding a complimentary tasting for Brooklyn Brewery's beer, highlighting the release of their classic Summer ale.

March 4th Weekend Beer recommendations!

March 4th
   Recommendations for your Weekend!

Winter is trying to hang around a little longer, so stay warm and give these beers a try!

   - Lagunitas Undercover Investigation (9.3% abv)
     American Strong Ale
"Malty and rich beer with a snappy hop finish truly defies style"
            - lagunitas.com

   - Sixpoint Hi-Res (10.5% abv)
     American Double IPA
"To experience raw hops you must magnify them until they saturate your spectrum of perception. Without sacrificing balance, HI-RES pushes the human perceptual limit to its edge, turning the dial to its very limits"
            - Sixpoint.com

   - Allagash Curiex (11% abv)
     Bourbon Barrel Aged Tripel
"Very smooth with a mellow but stiff alcohol character, warming with undertones of vanilla and ripe fruit. The woody character melds well with the hop bitterness and spiciness of the alcohol with a drying bite.
Simply amazing. Amazing with the realm of barrel aged beer let alone doing it with a more delicate Belgian Style Trippel"
            - Alstrom Brothers  Beeradvocate.com

   - Flying Dog Lucky S.O.B. (5.5% abv)
     Irish Red Ale
" Malty, biscuity, light caramel, apple skin, peppery hop bitterness, hint of alcohol, toasted grainy finish."
          - Alstrom Brothers   Beeradvocate.com
